The solution= Radical Acceptance.
Radical Acceptance = means to accept completely reality as it is, without judgement or trying to resist it. Fighting reality creates suffering, while accepting it allows you to heal and move forward.
- Identify your reality – focus on facts / strip away opinions / accept what is out of control.
- Notice your inner resistance- Observe tension in body / thoughts / feelings.
- Turn mind toward acceptance – Make a choice to consciously stop fighting reality / It is what it is / Repeat this mantra.
- Engage your body – Relax face, forehead, jaw, smile, walk, train and break a sweat. Action: Relax face, open your palms of hands on your lap, breathe deeply to signal safety to your brain.
