- ** £5.4 BILLION POUNDS **- Has been spent on the Asylum system in one year. While thousands of UK citizens face housing insecurity, the government is still housing over 100,000 asylum seekers in hotels and tax-payer-funded accommodation. Why does it feel like our government cares more about non-citizens than its own taxpayers who have lived locally for generations?
- 20 YEAR WAIT – for settlement for refugees vs 20-Year wait for an NHS appointment for our own people. The government is restructuring the asylum system to keep people here longer while British communities deal with the strain. Where is the focus on the British Taxpayer?
- REVOKE BENEFITS OF ALL NON-NATIONALS. Where else on the planet allows non-nationals to access the local benefit/social security system of another jurisdiction / country, including access to free social housing, healthcare, schooling, mobility cars and disability benefits? Whilst hard working taxpayers don’t get a single benefit and pay more tax into the system than those who do not contribute anything to society (accessing benefits). How is this even possible?
GOVT – High priority issues: Focus on Costs & Housing (Social Housing / Welfare system / NHS Health system).
